Summary and Suggestions
I. Purposes of practicum
The practicum system provides a good chance to students to combine theory with practice. The students are able to acquire vital skills, gain work experience in their area of interest, and create important networks by working in professional environments. Through taking up a practicum, us students are also able to evaluate if their ambitions in terms of career are realistic in the given industry enabling them to make viable choices in the future.
II. Procedures of practicum
A practicum has students placed in the field of interest with support, instruction, and duties pertinent to the course of study. Throughout the duration of the practicum, students are invited to record their activities, obtain appraisals, and contemplate what they have learned. In order to complete the practicum successfully, students need to observe basic rules such as professionalism, proper interaction, and management of time. Adhering to these methodological procedures presents students an opportunity to obtain useful practical skills and put the knowledge learned into practice through experience.
OBSERVE:
Gretchen and I commenced by watching how the students associated with their teachers. We sought to comprehend their interaction patterns and figure out how to handle such situations were we to take up the instructor's mantle.
GROUP OBSERVATION:
In addition, we undertook group observations in order to evaluate the possible responses of students to the presence of several observers.
LESSON PLANNING:
Now that we have an idea on the way how these students learn and interact with each other, we can adjust our lesson plans to fit them better by providing activities such as experiential learning, hands-on work, and engaging games. Using several approaches to maximize learning is the key to maximize the positive outcome, flexibility is what we need when teaching foreign students.

DEMO TEACHING:
Start with introducing yourself and have interaction with the students while teaching. When I teach, I usually have a short laboratory to cohere and expound the ideas of my students on the lessons I deliver.
EVALUATION:
Before class we have to provide evaluation sheets and lesson plans on our practicum teacher. The teacher will then evaluate your teaching methodology and professionalism.
III. Outcomes of practicum
Internship and Practicum experience provides multiple advantages to students such as better practical skills, more self-esteem, higher chances of getting a job, a deeper insight into the area of interest, career development and advancement, education, and self-improvement. As a result of practicing what they learned in class, students are able to acquire relevant experience, learn important skills and reach an educated decision regarding their career paths.
IV. The challenges of practicum
For learners, practicum experiences can come with certain frustrations including, but not limited to, unrealistic expectations, lack of direction, managing one’s time, cultural diversity, shortage of options, and most of all is language barriers. Overcoming those obstacles entails employing various means of communication, problem-solving skills, flexibility, and assistance from any of the superiors, teachers, or other buddies. By taking measures to minimize such problems, students will be able to utilize all the effective ways of learning in the course and make the practicum beneficial.
Additionally, I frequently used hand gestures and non verbal communication to help my students grasp the lesson. These nonverbal expressions of language give meaning to the interplay of ideas, images, and emotions that helps in teaching and learning process.
V. Overall impression
It was a great journey for me to be able to teach in Future School. I had a great time, it was my first time handling such great students with much respect towards their teachers. The environment, in most cases, encourages a sense of community where students are able to engage and learn different things from one another.
VI. Suggestions for future improvement
CULTURAL DIFFERENCES:
Cultural differences can lead to misunderstandings, communication breakdowns, stereotyping, conflict, and difficulty adapting.
Suggestions:
Promoting cross cultural interaction and conflict resolution are the key activities of individuals and communities. Maybe we could have discussions with superiors instructing us on their cutural beliefs so that we could have additional ideas on their cutures.Tackling these challenges, we can create a more peaceful and cohesive society.
LANGUAGE DIFFERENCES:
Language barrier can affect the process of teaching and learning in a number of ways, such as ineffective communication, lower levels of student participation, restricted learning space, cross-cultural conflicts, and lower self-worth of students among others. To meet these challenges, it takes several strategies to help students along and ensure that an inclusive classroom is maintained.
Suggestions:
I submit that in order to develop good English speaking skills, children should be introduced to English language training at an early age. Furthermore, I recommend enforcing the use of English only once a week in order to help the students’ vocabulary and speaking capabilities. In this way, the students will be engaged in an English speaking environment all the time which will go a long way in improving their speech and even fluency.
